The theater has been transformed into a multifunctional facility. Consisting of two levels, a basement and parking, the new Triomphe has rooms equipped with technological equipment for cinema, theater, entertainment and conferences. A restaurant with a terrace area overlooking the Champ de Mars has also been added.
Built in 1974, the Ciné Théâtre Triomphe had its heyday before its final closure in the early 90s. Under President René G. Préval, the BRH acquired it for the Haitian State. It is in 2012, following the formation of the Council for
