President Obama nominates new ambassador to Haiti

On May 6th, President Barack Obama nominated Peter F. Mulrean as the new US ambassador to Haiti. If his nomination is approved by the Senate, he will replace Pamela A. White at the end of term.

llIn a statement on the nomination, issued by the White House, President Obama said that he was “pleased to announce that these experienced and committed individuals have decided to serve our country.
