Through inter-municipal governance, CMRP continues its adventure

In the presence of Martin Blackburn, Director of the Haiti- Canada Municipal Cooperation Program (PCM in French) and several international organizations, the Community of Municipalities of the Palmes Region (CMRP in French) - a structure that emerged in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake-organized the fifth municipal board meeting. Representatives of the municipalities of Gressier, Leogane, Grand Goave, and Petit Goave had the opportunity to define the priorities of the region for the 2015-2016 period.

The meeting, which took place in Leogane, brought together several dozen participants from the capital and surrounding municipalities. This inter-municipal approach is a way for these four cities to find solutions to various problems while respecting the legal framework governing their operations.
