PAST, a large-scale project for the Northern Department

In the presence of regional and national authorities, funders, and national and foreign experts, the authorities of the Ministries of Economy and Finance, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Industries officially launched the Heritage Preservation and Support for the Tourism Sector (PAST in French). The launch took place on Monday December 1st at the Hostel du Roi Christophe in Cap-Haitien. The objective of the project is to contribute to the inclusive development of northern Haiti, focusing on cultural sites.

llBy 2020, more than 45 million USD will be invested in the municipalities of Milot, Cap- Haitien, and Dondon for the preservation of cultural and touristic sites. Infrastructure in these above areas will be improved. This activity is part of the project, Heritage Preservation and Support for the Tourism Sector (PAST in French) funded by the World Bank.
