International IDEA launches the project "Je nan je" for better access to drinking water

In partnership with l’Université d’État d’Haïti (UEH), International IDEA organized a workshop on the theme "Democratic Accountability for water distribution". This workshop was conducted within the framework of the project "Je nan je", (Eye in eye) a project that motivates different actors of the democratic process to build a more just society.

llTo study the quality of democracy in Haiti in the service sector, International IDEA, through the “Je nan je" project, chose the supply of drinking water as its first target. The intergovernmental organization’s mission is to contribute to the improvement of living conditions, by considering the level of democracy and access to services, taking into account the distribution of water in the poorest neighborhoods. “With the project, IDEA aims to strengthen the capacity of underserved communities in terms of water,” said Marie Laurence J.
