New challenges for the textile sector

The outsourcing sector will face new challenges over the next four years. Some of these challenges include the increase in the number of jobs and production of buildings in the country.

ll"We will create 200,000 jobs from 2015 to 2018. This is our biggest challenge. 200,000 jobs represent 400 million USD in wages. The average salary for a worker in the sector is around two thousand dollars per year," said Yves Savain, Executive Director of the Tripartite Commission implementing the Hope Act, speaking last week at the second edition of Human Resources Weeks at the Hotel Montana. “Currently, the textile sector has about 35,000 workers, of which 80% are women," he added.
