The Santa Maria would be six feet under, according to Spanish experts

"The wreck of the Santa Maria, flagship of the great explorer Christopher Columbus that sank on the night of December 24th to the 25th, 1492, is not under the ocean but buried in the ground somewhere near the northern coast of Haiti.” This was revealed on Monday September 22nd in Port-au-Prince, by a team of three experts from Spain, who have hunted the iconic boat’s remains since 1991.

According to Spanish experts in marine archeology, the remains of the legendary ship on which Columbus “discovered” America in 1492 while searching for a new route to the East Indies, are not at the bottom of the ocean. The researchers said that the wreckage of the boat is approximately six meters underground near the north coast of Haiti. By this statement, they reject claims that Clifford Berry discovered the enigmatic boat in May of this year.
