Founded in 1857, the school has already contributed to the educational formation of several generations in the Southeast Department.
The building that housed the school was destroyed in the earthquake of January 2010. Since then, the school has faced serious difficulties to accommodate students.
Funded by the Digicel Foundation in Haiti, the new seismic and para cyclonic building has six classrooms which can comfortably accommodate 40 to 50 students. With this new building, officials of this school will integrate the third educational cycle.
