Herman Van Rompuy welcomes the good use of EU funds in Kenscoff

On Sunday July 20th, the city of Kenscoff received a visit from Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council. During a short ceremony, Van Rompuy praised the way the European Union funds were managed by the municipal authorities and civil society in Kenscoff as part of the implementation of the locality’s development plan.

The Francophone Group for the Environment (GAFE in French) and youth associations of the town welcomed Van Rompuy who was accompanied by his wife and several members of the European Union delegation in Haiti, including Ambassador Javier Nino Perez. Good relations between the European Union and Kenscoff began with the development of the municipality’s local development plan in 2007.funded by the European Union.
