At Fierté, Minister Jean Jaques who is also the Coordinator of the Special Plan for Cité Soleil, stated that the plan was well elaborated. "This plan will revolve around a series of projects to be executed in the town to provide immediate relief to those in need while laying the foundation for sustainable development," he explained, noting that the special plan contains 23 projects and its funding will be around 5 million USD.

A special plan for Cité Soleil
The establishment of 14 community restaurants, the renovation of public places, and the construction of a toilet block are among the 23 projects inserted in the new special plan for Cité Soleil, launched on July 16th by Charles Jean Jacques, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor. These projects should contribute to the creation of income-generating activities in this neighborhood devastated by infighting for the past several years.
