Martelly, Ban, and Bach inaugurate the first National Olympic Center

The two heads of the executive branch, accompanied by Ban Ki-moon, UN Secretary General, Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Dieusel Simon Desras, Senate President inaugurated the Olympic Center for Hope on Tuesday July 15th. This was an opportunity for the President and the Secretary General of the United Nations to demonstrate to the Haitian youth, the importance of sports in shaping their character.

Dozens of people including Himmler Rébu, Minister for Youth, Sports, and Civic Action, Hans Larsen, President of the Olympic Committee, and personalities from the great family of sports took part in the inaugural ceremony of the Olympic Center for Hope.
