Maarten Boute resumes role of Chief Executive Officer of Digicel Haiti

On Wednesday, April 9th, Digicel Group welcomed back Maarten Boute as Chief Executive Officer of its Haiti business, effective immediately. He succeeded Ineke Botter who recently resigned due to personal reasons.

Boute, held the position for two years before leaving the job in 2012. He remained as a consultant with the company, focusing on Digicel Haiti’s new services including such as the TchoTcho Mobile. As CEO, Boute led his team through many obstacles such as the January 12th earthquake, and was responsible for a strong growth phase which included a significant increase in subscribers by 1.5 million and revenues by 60%.
