This project aims to strengthen the capacity of local authorities and populations in Marigot and ensure the implementation of the municipality’s development. Marigot located in the Southeast Department, in the district of Jacmel. The economy of this area is based on the cultivation of coffee, fruit and livestock. The fisheries sector also contributes to the local economy.

On April 13th, the ceremony of the official launch of the project to support local development, building the capacity of local authorities and improving people's access to basic services in Marigot was held at Caribbean Palace. Local authorities, representatives of grassroots organizations and members of the community took part in the ceremony.
