Prime Minister Lamothe visits Barbancourt and Tropic S.A.

Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, accompanied by Fresnel Jean-Baptiste, General Director of the General Administration of Customs, and Antoine Atouriste, General Director of the Unit Fighting Against Corruption (ULCC in French), visited the Barbancourt and Tropic S.A. companies on Monday, April 14, 2014. According to the Prime Minister this visit was aimed at encouraging domestic production through entrepreneurs who create wealth and jobs in the country.

Founded in 1862 by Dupré Barbancourt, a native of Charente, France, the company Rhum Barbancourt provides over 400 direct jobs in the country and finances more than 2,000 small projects. The visits on the 14th, was an opportunity for the Prime Minister to prove once again that his government supports entrepreneurs who create jobs and wealth in the country.
