El Salvador has deployed special forces to Haiti following the disappearance of four of its soldiers who are members of the UN-supported Gang Suppression Force (FRG), after an ambush set by armed gangs near Port-au-Prince, authorities have stated.
The attack against a squad of this international force tasked with restoring order in the face of powerful armed gangs occurred on Sunday as the soldiers were returning to their base after a mission to a market located outside of Port-au-Prince.
