The Quebec publisher Boréal announced on Wednesday that it will keep the novel "C'était ça ou mourir" by Thélyson Orélien in stores, asserting that it has no evidence to establish with certainty the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in its writing.<\/p>

"The publisher does not need to demand proof from (authors), but must stand by their side and that is what we are doing," the statement said, condemning the personal attacks against the writer, stating that he should not become "the scapegoat" for the concerns raised by AI.<\/p>
