Vocational Training: Frantz Elbé Supports 300 Young People in Two Years in the Grand South

Les 150 nouveaux bénéficiaires

The Foundation for Education and Sustainable Development (FEEDH), an initiative by Frantz Elbé, former Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), continues its commitment to vocational training and youth empowerment. Over two academic years, the foundation will have supported 300 young people across the four departments of the Grand South, including 150 new beneficiaries for the 2026-2027 academic year.

The official launch of this new cohort took place on Saturday, October 10, 2026. This initiative is part of an effort to facilitate young people's access to vocational training, strengthen their technical skills, and improve their prospects for socioeconomic integration.

In a context marked by economic difficulties and the precariousness of many families, FEEDH is focusing on the acquisition of practical skills as a lever for autonomy and community development.

*Frantz Elbé Focuses on Vocational Training*

On the occasion of this academic year, Frantz Elbé praised the beneficiaries' choice to engage in vocational training. He encouraged them to demonstrate seriousness, discipline, and determination in order to fully benefit from this opportunity.

Through FEEDH, the former Director General of the PNH aims to contribute to guiding Haitian youth by providing learning opportunities that can facilitate their access to the labor market and promote their economic autonomy.

The support offered also aims to strengthen young people's capacities to participate in the development of their respective communities.

*Training Tailored to Professional Needs*

For the 2026-2027 academic year, the 150 new beneficiaries will be able to follow training in several fields, including agricultural techniques, building electricity, tiling, foreman-bricklayer training, Windows techniques, and sewing.

These various fields offer opportunities for acquiring practical skills in sectors likely to enhance employment access, independent activity, and income generation.

The training is provided in collaboration with several institutions, including the Modern and Technical Institute of Haiti, the Professional Center of Jérémie, the Jacmel Workshop School, and the Professional and Technical Training Center of Jacmel, as well as an institution located in the Nippes department.

As part of this support, each beneficiary receives a suitcase and teaching materials intended to facilitate their learning. This equipment aims to support students in their journey and allow them to pursue their training under better conditions.

*60 Young People Already Graduated*

Beyond new registrations, the program already shows results: 60 beneficiaries have graduated since the initiative's launch.

This assessment reflects the importance of continuing training programs and supporting young people toward professional autonomy.

With 300 young people supported over two academic years across the four departments of the Grand South, the Foundation for Education and Sustainable Development continues its efforts to promote the professional qualification of Haitian youth.

Through this initiative, Frantz Elbé and FEEDH aim to make vocational training a tool for socioeconomic integration, social mobility, and sustainable development in this part of the country.
