According to the executive director of the National Network for the Defense of Human Rights (RNDDH), this decree has set Haiti back in its efforts to combat corruption. Pierre Espérance revealed that, following this decree, all cases pending in the courts involving high-ranking state officials have been suspended by order of the Minister of Justice.<\/p>
