Cap-Haïtien and Ouidah formalized their closer ties with the official signing, on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in Benin, of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation and twinning between the two cities.
The agreement was signed at Ouidah City Hall by Michel St-Croix, President of the Cap-Haïtien Municipal Commission, and Christian Houétchénou, Mayor of the Municipality of Ouidah, in the presence of municipal authorities, diplomatic representatives, and prominent figures from both countries.
