The National Old-Age Insurance Office (ONA) launched, this Wednesday, the National Forum on the modernization and consolidation of the retirement system in Haiti. The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Marc-Elie Nelson, the Minister of Public Works, Transport and Communications, Joseph Almathe Pierre Louis, the Minister of Tourism, Stéphanie Smith, and the Director General of the ONA, Lovely François, were present at the launch ceremony, which is scheduled to last three days. Until September 18, the forum brings together the state, social partners, the private sector, civil society, and experts to discuss the future of retirement and social security.
