The MEF launches the fourth review of the Reference Program

The holder of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), Serge Gabriel Collin, and the governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti, Ronald Gabriel, launched the fourth review of the Reference Program (SMP) on Monday, September 14, 2026, during a videoconference. On this occasion, Mr. Collin noted a "deceleration of inflation", which fell from 32.2% at the beginning of the fiscal year to 17.5% in July 2026. He also highlighted the gradual return of internally displaced persons to their neighborhoods, the ongoing reform of the mechanism for setting fuel prices, and the continuation of public finance reforms, which are deemed consistent with the benchmarks of the SMP program.<\/p>
