Cap-Haïtien: GARR denounces "inhumane" deportation conditions from the United States

The Support Group for Returnees and Refugees (GARR) condemns the deportation conditions deemed "inhumane" for the 82 Haitian nationals expelled from the United States to Cap-Haïtien airport on the evening of Thursday, September 10, 2026. In a statement dated September 11, the organization reports that these migrants endured "hell" for over half a day, with their hands and feet shackled during a long journey. They finally arrived at their destination over seven hours late, laments GARR. The organization denounces the inhumane treatment inflicted on migrants as well as the cruel and irresponsible attitude of the American authorities.
