Repatriation of 17 Haitians intercepted off the coast of Puerto Rico

U.S. Coast Guard repatriated 17 Haitians, including 15 men and two women, to San Pedro de Macorís in the Dominican Republic on Tuesday, September 8. They were intercepted on Saturday off Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, aboard a makeshift boat carrying 51 migrants, according to U.S. authorities. The other 34 migrants were Dominican nationals.<\/p>
