Grand’Anse: Two Deaths and 13 Suspected Cases of Anthrax Reported in Baliverne

An alert for anthrax was reported on August 26 in Baliverne, in the 5th communal section of Dame-Marie, in Grand’Anse. Investigations conducted by health authorities have identified 13 suspected cases, 2 deaths, and 20 dead animals. Awareness-raising activities, case identification, and management have been conducted, along with home visits in Brezèl and Briyo, the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) stated. A local committee has also been formed with community leaders and notables, the MSPP added.<\/p>
