Raina Forbin calls on the international community to "move from solidarity to action"

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship, Raina Forbin, urges the international community to "move from solidarity to action, from commitments to their implementation, and from promises to results." She made this call during a meeting of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) on Thursday, September 3, 2026. Forbin advocated for the rapid mobilization of the human, financial, logistical, and operational resources necessary for the full deployment of the 5,500 members of the Gang Enforcement Force (FRG). She also encouraged the OAS, its member states, and partners in the inter-American system "to provide technical, financial, logistical, and security support to the Haitian electoral process commensurate with the democratic stakes involved."
