Creation of an Ad Hoc Commission to Modernize the Legal Framework of the FAd'H

The Ministry of Defense informs that it has established an ad hoc commission tasked with revising the legal and organizational framework of the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd'H). The work of this commission will focus on the coherence of the organic framework with the decree of May 17, 2005, the development of a new military statute, the proposal of an updated Code of Military Justice, and a framework law defining missions and doctrine, the ministry stated in a circular dated August 31, 2026. The commission, coordinated by Wolff Dubic and composed of four other members, will consult stakeholders, draft preliminary drafts, and submit quarterly reports to Minister Mario Andrésol.
