The Forum of 9, comprising nine political groups approved by the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), is requesting adjustments to strengthen the credibility and inclusiveness of the electoral process. In a statement released on August 27, 2026, these political formations reported having met with Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé on August 24, and then with CEP officials two days later, to discuss, among other things, the electoral decree, registration difficulties, risks of candidate and voter exclusion, security, technical issues, and equal opportunities. The Forum is particularly demanding a legal analysis of the decree, its revision, as well as the revision of the electoral schedule, while announcing the transmission of briefs to the Executive and the electoral body in order to propose solutions to the raised difficulties and to preserve trust in the process.
