According to the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH), during the second quarter of the year (April-June 2026), at least 1,408 people were killed and another 656 injured, according to a statement issued on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
“These figures show that the population continues to pay a heavy and unacceptable price for the violence. Protecting the population must remain at the heart of all efforts aimed at restoring security, particularly for children, women and other people exposed to heightened risks,” stressed Carlos
