The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship, Raina Forbin, participated on Monday, August 24, 2026, via videoconference, in the panel "Haiti and the strength to recover," organized by the AVSI Foundation as part of the Rimini Meeting in Italy. The meeting also brought together Stefano Gatti, Director General of Development Cooperation at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Massimo Dell’Utri, Italian Undersecretary of State, Gandy Thomas, Haiti's Ambassador to Italy, Maurizio Martina, Deputy Director General of FAO, and Annalisa Costanzo, AVSI representative in Haiti. During the discussions, the Haitian chancellor presented the main priorities of the government, including restoring security, organizing upcoming elections, reviving the economy, and addressing humanitarian needs. Raina Forbin also called for strengthening cooperation between Haiti and Italy, particularly in agriculture, vocational training, security, institutional strengthening, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
