André François Giroux will be appointed Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington. Giroux will succeed Stuart Savage, according to a statement from the Canadian Foreign Ministry. Giroux recently left his position as Canada’s Ambassador to Haiti.
