The Haitian National Police (PNH) arrested five suspects during an operation carried out early on the morning of Wednesday, August 19, 2026, in Cerca-Lacombe, in the municipality of Quartier-Morin. The operation, conducted in particular by the Departmental Judicial Police Service (SDPJ/North) and the Cap-Haïtien Intervention Brigade (BI), was aimed primarily at apprehending Sedanius Tony, alias “Pipi,” whom police authorities describe as the leader of an armed group active in several areas of the North Department.
