The National Police of Haiti (PNH) reports that on Monday, August 17, 2026, they freed a hostage who had been held for six days in the locality of Soisson, in Montagne Noire. The operation, conducted under the supervision of the Director General of PNH, André Jonas Vladimir Paraison, successfully ended the victim's captivity, the PNH stated.
