The Minister of Foreign Affairs Raina Forbin, the Minister of Defense Mario Andrésol, and the President of the CEP Jacques Desrosiers welcomed the Secretary General of the OAS, Albert R. Ramdin, accompanied by the Secretary General of CARICOM, Carla Barnett, during an official visit from August 16 to 19. The delegation, composed of representatives from the IDB, CAF, PAHO, IICA, CARICOM, and the United Nations, aims to strengthen coordination with Haiti around national priorities: security, democratic governance, electoral preparation, and socio-economic stabilization. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, consultations are planned with Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé and various institutional actors to translate international commitments into concrete actions, as part of the OAS Roadmap for Stability and Peace in Haiti.
