The efforts of Haiti’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs are bearing fruit. Slanda François and Anne Betsaïna César, two Haitian students imprisoned in Russia, have been ordered released following démarches by the ministry through a special envoy sent to Moscow. The two young women will be handed over to the Haitian diplomat at the airport on Saturday morning, Le Nouvelliste learned on Friday, July 24, 2026.
