On the night of April 13 to 14, 2026, members of armed groups affiliated with the Viv Ansanm coalition attacked the locality of Seguin, in the commune of Marigot, in the South-East department. The toll: at least seven dead, the police station set on fire, and two vehicles of the Police nationale d’Haïti destroyed. Among the victims were young men described as police informants, shot and then burned on the spot.
