Two journalists, Osnel Espérance and Junior Célestin, who were reporting in downtown Port-au-Prince, were kidnapped on Friday, March 13, 2026, by armed men affiliated with the criminal coalition Viv ansanm, Le Nouvelliste has learned.
“The journalists work respectively for Uni FM and Megastar. Reached by phone, Pérez Jocelyn, CEO of Uni FM, is calling for their immediate release and demanding respect for press freedom in Haiti,” reported Radio Télé Signal on X.
