During a toast delivered at a dinner organized to celebrate his inauguration, the new Chilean president, José Antonio Kast, referred to the situation in Haiti, calling for the restoration of “peace, order, and justice” throughout Haitian territory. Referring to “one island, two nations,” he also praised the cooperation between Haiti and the Dominican Republic and advocated for a joint effort in favor of stability in the region.
