“Between 2022 and 2025, we estimate that we have provided the equivalent of half a billion dollars in international assistance to Haiti. That is much more than what we have done in the past. We have increased, adjusted, and targeted our international aid investments in Haiti. The envelope of cooperation aimed at the security component represents more than half of those 500 million dollars,” said the Canadian ambassador to Haiti, André François Giroux, interviewed by Magik 9 on Friday, February 27, 2026.
