2025: Ten Media, Sports, and Social Media Figures We Lost

The year 2025 saw the passing of figures who profoundly marked their respective fields through their commitment, talent, and contributions. Among them were Robert “Bobby” Denis, founder of Audiotek; Jean Max Choute, the unforgettable actor from the series La Vi Nan Bouk; the poet and journalist Schultz Laurent Junior; goalkeeper Cynthia Chéry; footballer Marc Antoine Moïse; gospel artist Finette Pierre-Luc; designer Murielle Leconte; as well as Patrickson Calixte and Marie Marjorie Télusma.

Cynthia Immacula Chéry (1994–2025)

Born on September 3, 1994, in Léogâne, Cynthia Immacula Chéry established herself as a talented goalkeeper with Essentiel FC and Valentina FC. In 2014, she took part in the women’s World Cup qualifiers with the national team. A member of a generation of players trained in Indiana, in the United States, she returned to Haiti to continue her career. Cynthia passed away on May 4, 2025, in Delmas, at the age of 30.
