A road accident at the southern entrance of Saint-Marc on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, left at least eight dead and several injured.
The incident occurred on National Highway No. 1, just a few meters from the Frécynneau sub-police station, when a trailer truck (carrying goods), registered TM 12868, attempted to overtake, on a narrow curve, a passenger transport van (commonly called tap-tap), registered TP 36036. Eyewitnesses stated that “the truck overturned onto the van.”
