Nesmy Manigat Joins GPE as High-Level Envoy and Education Consultant

The Global Partnership for Education (GPE) has announced the appointment of Nesmy Manigat as High-Level Envoy and Education Advisor for the GPE. Before this new role, Mr. Manigat, former Minister of National Education and Vocational Training, chaired the GPE’s Finance and Risk Committee, “responsible for ensuring that GPE resources are managed effectively and in line with the organization’s mission, objectives, and policies.”

Nesmy Manigat now joins at the GPE Serigne Mbaye Thiam, former Minister of Education and Minister of Water and Sanitation of Senegal, and Ruth Kagia, former Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to former Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, as high-level envoys. The official announcement of Mr. Manigat’s new functions, who was already working at the GPE, was made on Friday, September 5, 2025.
