T-Vice: A Family Affair in Compas for Over Three Decades

Born into music, Roberto and Reynaldo have been leading T-Vice since 1992. Between family guidance, on-stage success, carnival float performances, and 50 albums, their longevity is remarkable.

In August 1992, 16-year-old Roberto Martino and his 13-year-old brother Reynaldo, sons of famed guitarist Robert Martino, founded T-Vice in the family basement in Morne Calvaire. The name, inspired by their father’s band at the time, means “little Top Vice,” with the original lineup consisting only of the two brothers. They first performed at graduations and private parties before moving to Miami, where two friends, James Cardozo and Gerald Kebreau, joined them.
