Over 30,000 Haitians Deported Monthly by Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic announced Tuesday that it is currently expelling more than 30,000 Haitians per month following the tightening of its migration policy last October.

President Luis Abinader is waging a campaign against the illegal entry of Haitians into his country: he has increased raids and deportations, suspended the issuance of visas, and reinforced the military presence along the border between the two countries, where a wall has been built.
