At the end of 1979, during a tour in Canada, Isnard Douby and Harold Joseph, musicians of Les Frères Déjean, were denied entry into the country. This incident became the catalyst for a new and unprecedented musical venture. Joined by Reginald Benjamin, Vincent Céran, Lesly Douby, and Ernst Vincent, they teamed up with Jean-Claude Maxime and Ernst Ramponneau to form a new group, initially called “System Connection,” which was later renamed “System Band.”
