Bossa Combo, the Big Band Power

Founded in 1968 in Waney, Bossa Combo spanned three decades of Haitian music before fading out, leaving behind more than twenty albums and the indelible legacy of Raymond Cajuste.

On August 14, 1968, in Waney (Carrefour), a musical group was born that would go on to leave its mark on the history of compas. Initially named “Rex Stars,” the group quickly adopted the name “Bossa Combo,” inspired by both Brazilian bossa nova and small musical ensembles known as “combos.”
