On August 14, 1968, in Waney (Carrefour), a musical group was born that would go on to leave its mark on the history of compas. Initially named “Rex Stars,” the group quickly adopted the name “Bossa Combo,” inspired by both Brazilian bossa nova and small musical ensembles known as “combos.”
The original group brought together teenagers from Waney, Fontamara, and Carrefour-Feuilles. Bossa Combo soon became a breeding ground for musicians destined for brilliant careers: Emmanuel F
