47 Young Haitians Selected for Taiwan Scholarship Program

The Republic of China (Taiwan) is preparing to welcome 47 Haitian students as part of two scholarship programs. The announcement was made by the country’s embassy on Friday, June 20, 2025. These students will join the ranks of several hundred Haitians who have already benefited from these programs, which aim to strengthen ties between the two countries.

As part of its “MOFA Taiwan Scholarship Program,” the Republic of China announced that 42 Haitian students have been selected for the 2025 cohort. These students were chosen following a rigorous selection process conducted in partnership with Haiti’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship (MAEC). The program welcomes students at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels for academic studies that can last up to five years, including one year of Mandarin language training.
