“The Great Journey” by Christophe Philippe Charles

The poet, editor, and professor Christophe Philippe Charles has just published a short poem entitled Le grand voyage (The Great Journey) with Éditions Choucoune. Through this 39-page text, published with a Spanish translation — El gran viaje — the poet reconnects with the child within him, in the sense that he only dreams of going farther, beyond the boundaries of the possible.

Featured in the upcoming 31st edition of Livres en Folie on June 19 in Pétion-Ville, at Place Saint-Pierre, hosted by the Brothers of Christian Instruction (FIC), Christophe Philippe Charles carries with him a long career as a professor, poet, and editor. While he defines himself as a “cosmopolitan native” or an “internationalist indigenous,” his poetry pushes the limits of imagination. This prolific author soars on the wings of words in the white space and silence filled with the dance of muses:
