Haiti Qualifies for the 2025 U17 World Cup in Qatar

The Haitian U-17 men's national team wrapped up the qualifying phase for the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup in style. The Grenadiers convincingly defeated Guatemala (2-0) on Sunday, February 16, in their third Group E match, thanks to goals from Djouby Jean-Philippe and Miguel Joseph. With nine points from three games, coach Eddy César’s squad has secured its place in the tournament’s final phase, set to take place from November 5 to 27 in Qatar, featuring 48 teams.

The Haitian team concluded the World Cup qualifiers on Guatemalan soil with a resounding performance. Against the host nation, the Haitians netted two goals while keeping a clean sheet. In the 9th minute, Djouby Jean-Philippe opened the scoring with a precise side-footed finish, putting his team in a commanding position. With superior technical skills in midfield and strong tactical control, the blue-and-red maintained their one-goal lead until halftime.

After the break, Guatemala threw everything forward in search of an equalizer.
