They were once found in Bas Lalue. Now, they are on every street corner in Pétion-Ville and along the road to Delmas. Flower vendors are taking over the streets, offering flowers of all varieties. On the eve of Valentine’s Day, Le Nouvelliste met with them.

The flower market may no longer be what it once was, but some continue with a business that struggles to stay afloat. Others, like Mr. Flower, have managed to carve out a place for themselves and reinvent the market through marketing efforts. Whether behind the glass windows of specialized flower shops or out in the streets, demand for flowers has never been higher.
