The new U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, has frozen U.S. foreign aid, with the exception of assistance provided to Egypt and Israel, pending a comprehensive review of all programs, according to an internal State Department memo.
“No new funds will be committed (...) until each new allocation or proposed extension has been reviewed and approved” in accordance with President Donald Trump's agenda, stated the memo, which was reviewed Friday by AFP.
